Phone Switcher

gfk.gifAs Smartphones take greater market share, there will come a point where people already have these phones and want to update, will become important as those who have not yet the Smartphone. The number of people crossing from one platform to another smartphone will become significant.

Related to this, GFK have a survey from September 2010 of 941 UK adults and found that 76 percent plan to stick with Apple for their next update. Only 3% said it would probably go to an Android phone next time around. Meanwhile, 43% of users of Android you're thinking of switching to a mobile phone with a competitor operating system next time.It would be interesting to know why. Is the hardware, embedded software, applications, app store or for updates of the operating system that are to blame?
